my very favorite book in the whole wide world

Two things I loved about this book were the cover, which was the cutest thing ever with the boy giving the book a hug, and the introduction by Malcolm Mitchell, telling his story of how he struggled with reading and how he wants to now help others. I love to watch their reaction as I recommend a book, and what do you know? They like reading after all. Finally his mom tells him, “sometimes the best stories can be found inside ourselves.” I could really resonate with this book, as students often tell me they don’t like reading. In an attempt to complete his assignment, Henley visits the library and bookstore, but is unable to find his favorite book. He would rather play football or see how many grapes he can fit into his mouth.
